PHOTOGRAPHERS

Telmo Mendes

We are pleased
to present…

The story of Telmo and Bruna is one of passion, complicity, and a shared vision of what it means to eternalize love through photography. He started young, at just 14, during his first photography course, he discovered the spark that would become his life’s path. She joined later, but it was Bruna who encouraged Telmo to believe in his talent and turn a hobby into a profession.

From this personal and creative union, a unique signature was born: a style of photography that is relaxed, light, and deeply connected to the essence of each couple. For them, every story is unique and deserves to be told authentically — capturing not only the images but, above all, the emotions that make a wedding unforgettable.

Their first wedding, around five years ago, was a milestone. The initial uncertainty quickly gave way to the absolute certainty that this was more than just a job, it was a true life purpose. Since then, Telmo and Bruna have dedicated themselves to transforming days of celebration into timeless memories, filled with meaning and emotion.

More than photographers, they are visual storytellers. They find inspiration in people, in travel, in unexpected places, and even in the small details of everyday life. Each shot is guided by a rare sensitivity: Telmo, with a spontaneous eye that puts couples at ease and captures the perfect moment; and Bruna, with creativity and dedication in editing, giving each image its final form with authenticity and emotion.

Together, they have photographed weddings in dream destinations such as Lake Como and Cappadocia, places that challenged their perspective and further expanded their artistic vision. For them, every wedding is unique, and every couple is an opportunity to tell a story that will never happen again.

Throughout their journey, they have built bonds that go far beyond work. Many couples have become close friends, proof that what they do goes beyond photography: it’s about connection, trust, and genuine sharing. The feedback that moves them most isn’t found only in the images, but in the words, when a couple tells them they were the best choice of the wedding, that’s when their purpose gains even greater meaning.

Today, Telmo and Bruna live this project as a mission: to capture love in its purest form, with truth, emotion, and beauty. Guided by three words, love, connection, and memories, they look to the future with the desire to expand boundaries and continue reaching couples around the world who resonate with their style.

Because for them, wedding photography isn’t just about preserving images, it’s about turning moments into legacy.

Step into the world of art…

Telmo, you started at 14, what fascinated you about photography at that age? How did the transition from hobby to profession happen?

Yes, I was around 14 when I took my first photography course. From that moment, my passion only grew, and the transition from hobby to profession happened very naturally. Being able to turn something that gives me so much pleasure into my work, and even get paid for it, is, without a doubt, an incredible achievement.

Bruna, how was it for you to enter the world of photography, inspired by Telmo? Did you develop your style together?

It was a real discovery, I never imagined I would fall so deeply in love with photography. In the beginning, I was the one who encouraged Telmo to start his own business because I always believed in his potential and knew he could go much further. Our style gradually evolved over time, combining the elements I loved most with his creative vision, until we reached what defines us today: a relaxed and lighthearted way of capturing the purest essence of each couple.

What was the moment you realized that wedding photography wasn’t just a job, but a life purpose?

It was about five years ago, when we were invited to photograph our first wedding. At first, we were a bit nervous and questioned whether we were truly up to the couple’s expectations, and whether this path was really right for us. But as soon as we lived through that experience and delivered our first work, we realized we didn’t want to stop. From that moment, it became clear that wedding photography went far beyond a simple job, it was a purpose. Capturing one of the happiest days in a couple’s life and knowing our perspective will turn into eternal memories is priceless.

What inspires you outside photography, such as cinema, painting, music, or travel, and how does it influence your creative vision?

Our greatest inspiration is, without a doubt, people. Each person brings a unique story and the opportunity to create something special and personalized through photography. As a complement, traveling plays a huge role in our creative process, it gives us freedom, new scenery, and the chance to take people to different environments that enrich the final result even more. Beyond that, everything we live and feel in our daily lives influences our work, we often find an incredible photographic angle in the most unexpected places.

What is it like working side by side as a couple and a team? What are the biggest strengths each of you brings to the project?

Working side by side as a couple and a team is both a challenge and a blessing. It’s not always easy, like any partnership, there are moments of disagreement, but most of the time it’s extremely rewarding. We share the same purpose, and it’s amazing to be able to grow together, achieve goals side by side, and constantly evolve.

Each of us brings unique strengths to the project. Telmo has a sharp eye for framing and capturing perfect moments, along with a relaxed approach that makes couples feel completely comfortable. Bruna, on the other hand, is extremely proactive and creative, she’s the heart of post-production, taking full control of editing and bringing to life the creative freedom that defines our work.

Has there been a destination wedding that marked you, whether because of the landscape, culture, or photographic challenge?

Two destinations that deeply marked us were Lake Como and Cappadocia. Although they are very different from each other, both share something in common: the ability to inspire us with their breathtaking landscapes and unique atmosphere. Each setting seemed to transform the photos into true works of art, making the experience even more special. We feel truly privileged to be able to call this our job, capturing love stories in such extraordinary places is one of the greatest gifts this profession gives us.

What has been the most challenging wedding so far, and how did you overcome it?

For us, every wedding brings its own challenge. We work with different couples, locations, and environments every time, which always requires adaptation, creativity, and attention to detail. That’s why we believe the most challenging wedding is always the next one, the one yet to come, because it keeps us motivated to continuously push ourselves and elevate our work to a new level.

Is there a couple or a moment that has personally touched you and that you still remember fondly?

There are many couples who have touched us over time, and some of them have become true friends. That’s definitely one of the greatest gifts of this profession, the genuine connection we create while capturing one of the most special days of their lives. Knowing that these stories turn into friendships we’ll carry forever is truly extraordinary and rewarding for us.

What’s the most beautiful or unexpected feedback you’ve ever received?

We’re lucky and privileged to work with amazing couples who share with us the emotions they feel when they see the results of our work. Every message and every word of gratitude helps us grow and motivates us to keep improving. But without a doubt, the feedback that touches us most is when a couple tells us we were the best choice of all their wedding vendors — hearing that fills our hearts and gives even more meaning to what we do.

If an international couple contacted you to get married in Portugal, what advice would you give them to prepare the perfect day from a photographic point of view?

Our main advice would be to plan the day calmly and with time, always prioritizing what truly reflects the couple’s essence. From a photographic point of view, it’s important to choose a location that has meaning for both and offers different settings and good natural light — that makes all the difference in the final result.
We also recommend scheduling specific moments for couple sessions so that everything flows naturally and stress-free. And above all, it’s essential to trust the team you choose to capture the day, when that trust exists and you feel comfortable with us, the photos flow naturally and tell your story in an authentic and emotional way.

What values do you try to convey through your work beyond the images themselves?

Beyond the images, we strive to convey values such as genuine connection and trust with the couple, always valuing naturalness and spontaneity. We believe every photograph should reflect true emotions and tell the story of the day in an authentic way.

What have you learned about love after photographing so many different stories over the years?

We’ve learned that love reveals itself in the simplest and most genuine details, in looks, gestures, and real emotions. Every story is unique, and remembering that true love lies in authenticity is what inspires us to photograph it with passion.

If you had to describe in three words what drives you as wedding photographers,
what would they be?

Love, connection, and memories!

Looking ahead, what dreams would you still like to achieve in this field?

Even though we’re still at the beginning of our journey, we’ve been doing this for about six years, we’ve already achieved many important goals. However, with every wedding we capture, new dreams and challenges arise, and we always strive to surpass ourselves and raise the bar for our work. In the short term, our main goal is to expand increasingly beyond borders and attract an international audience of couples who truly identify with our style and value the essence of what we do..
