AI COACH FOR DESIGNERS

SASHA EVENT DESIGN

We are living in the era of Artificial Intelligence, and combining
innovation with professional growth is part of evolution.
Sasha has become a true reference in the world of event design, creating and teaching methods that allow technology and professionals to work together in increasingly creative ways. With an AI Coaching course for wedding designers, she brings the future directly to you.

Swasha, tell us a bit about yourself… When and how did your interest in artificial intelligence applied to wedding design begin?

Hello everyone!
My name is Sasha Mekhedova, I’m originally from Russia but have been living in Los Angeles, USA, for the past eight years.

Weddings are my passion. My journey in wedding design began 17 years ago — I started with invitations and wedding accessories, and step by step, décor and floristry completely captured my heart.
I’m self-taught. I still remember creating my first bridal bouquet in 2010 by watching a YouTube video! I’ve always believed in learning through action — because experience is born only in practice. Everything I learn or imagine, I always test in real life.

That’s how my exploration of AI began. I became fascinated by it. My intuition and analytical mindset help me predict trends — and I realized that AI is the new era of opportunity, a golden future that will elevate those who can see and use its potential..

What is your background in AI / design /wedding design?

How I came to AI…
To be honest, it started with burnout.
There was a moment when I was doing three weddings a day — and I suddenly realized I had become just “the bride’s hands.” People stopped seeing me as a designer. I had to fight for my ideas. But where there’s struggle, there’s no space for creativity.

So, I decided to take a break. I finished all my projects and took a year off. I needed to find my new path.
That’s when AI caught my attention. With more time on my hands, I spent up to eight hours a day testing different tools, comparing platforms, and running experiments. I wanted to see how this new wave could be applied to our wedding industry.
That’s how I discovered several ways to adapt AI for wedding design. But the truth is — AI is much bigger than that! It can be applied to any creative profession or even to automate business processes.

We know you’ve created a course for wedding designers — what inspired you to develop this specific program, and what is its main goal?

My Experience
I’ve been in wedding design for 17 years, and I’ve seen and done it all. I know every pain point of a wedding decorator — because I’ve lived through them.

My experience with AI is just one year, but I can confidently say that I’ve achieved a lot in this short time because of my total immersion in the process. Every day, new tools appear, and I test, adapt, and teach them.
Right now, I’m developing the idea of creating an AI ecosystem for the wedding industry — a single platform that gathers the most useful tools for designers.

Can you explain what a wedding designer can expect from your course “AI for Wedding Designers”? What tools, techniques, or processes do you teach?

When I took a break from weddings I made a clear decision:
My work must be fun and creative, not stressful.

At first, I started generating projects just for fun — but this “game” completely changed the market. My AI designs started being copied, brides showed them to their vendors, and Chinese factories began producing décor based on my visuals.
I started receiving hundreds of messages from people asking how to learn this, and that’s how my AI for Wedding Designers course was born. It wasn’t a business plan — it was a response to real demand.”

How many modules or units does the cours e include, and what type include, and what type of learning does it offer (practical modules, workshops, mentoring, recorded/live sessions)?

My Teaching Philosophy
I’ve been teaching since 2013, sharing my experience with wedding professionals. I believe that if you want grateful clients and great projects, you must first transform yourself.
In 2014, I organized the first wedding décor conference in Russia, attended by over 600 decorators — and it changed everything. Designers began to see each other not as competitors but as colleagues.

After moving to the U.S., I paused my teaching career, though I had already hosted 48 live workshops, creating real installations from modern materials. My last one was in 2021. Now, I feel a strong mission to share how AI can be applied to wedding design and business, because beyond beautiful visuals, AI helps you become visible in the world and attract new clients.
It’s not just about pretty pictures — it’s about real business growth.

What kind of support do students receive after completing the course?

About the Course…

The course is simple — 8 recorded lessons you can take anytime at your own pace. Each lesson includes video, slides, and scripts.
I designed it to be easy to follow so students can quickly gain skills and move straight to practice. Everyone who buys the course now will receive all future updates for free, even as I expand the program with advanced modules.
After enrollment, students get access to a private group for questions and community support — plus, I’m always available by email.

Do you have examples of wedding designers who hay e already applied what they learned to real projects? What impact did it have?

Student Work and Ethics

At first, I wanted to showcase my students’ works — but then I realized it wouldn’t be ethical.
Many of their AI-generated designs could be copied by others, and I deeply respect their privacy. My own works are often replicated worldwide — and I understand that’s part of progress — but my students’ strategies must remain theirs.
Some of them use AI exclusively in their businesses but prefer not to reveal it publicly. And that’s okay — each journey is unique.

What are the most common challenges you encounter when teaching AI to wedding mon challenges designers?

The Challenges… The main challenge is laziness and lack of consistency.
Some people think AI is a magic wand — but it’s not.
It’s powerful only if you know how to use it.
I recommend practicing at least eight hours after each lesson to build new neural connections and make AI an intuitive extension of your mind.

To what extent do you believe AI can replace creative or inspirational processes, and where do you see the human touch as irreplaceable?

AI and Creativity

It’s naive to rely on AI for 100% of your work. It’s not about losing individuality — it’s about balance.
AI is your assistant, not your replacement. The human touch is irreplaceable — your intuition, your taste, your story.
In wedding design, AI can generate concepts and visualizations, but it’s your team that brings them to life.
However, in digital professions, AI will soon automate most roles — that’s inevitable.

How do you ensure that the use of AI doesn’t make designs look “all the same” or generic, but rather helps highlight each designer’s individuality and style?

How Smart AI Works

The secret is to train your own AI. Think of it like onboarding a new team member — you explain your style, values, and processes. The more context you give, the better it performs.
Now imagine a designer with a clear vision training AI to multiply their creativity a hundredfold.
That’s how innovation happens — that’s how industries evolve.

What trends do you see emerging at the intersection of AI and wedding design in the coming years?

“We’ll see a clear divide:

one group — artisans, who will resist AI and stay manual;
and another — innovators, who will automate processes and focus on strategy and creativity.
This evolution will give rise to new professions and commercial platforms.
Those who ignore AI now will find it harder to catch up later.
AI isn’t a trend — it’s a new era.”

Do you work with or have students in Portugal, or know of couples/designers here applying your course?

My Students Worldwide
Honestly, I’d have to check the list to be sure — I know there are several Russian-speaking students from my earlier programs, but as for the AI course, I don’t recall anyone specifically.

What personally drives you as a coach, and what values do you aim to preserve as you grow?

What drives me most is transformation — seeing people awaken their creative power and realize they can do so much more than they ever imagined.

When I teach, I don’t just talk about tools or AI. I talk about freedom — the freedom to express your vision, to build a business on your own terms, to stop copying others and create from your soul.
My biggest value is authenticity. True success comes when you stay true to your essence — your taste, your energy, your style.
AI helps you grow faster — but it’s your heart that makes people fall in love with your work.

If you had the opportunity to visit us and share your knowledge or even work on a project here, what would inspire you most about Portugal — the light, the history, the design, the people… or something else that?

Inspiration is everywhere.
In Portugal, I’d love to explore the fusion of history and modernity — to create projects where historical venues meet contemporary materials and light.
I’m open to hosting workshops — both décor-focused and AI-based. In 2026, I plan to start international educational retreats.

Are there any future future plans for your course - such a new versions, collaborations, your own tools, or global expansion?

I have many plans ahead.
I’m preparing a new version of my course AI for Wedding Designers, an advanced edition for experienced users — coming early next year.
We’re also launching AI immersion workshops for those who prefer hands-on learning, and practical décor workshops for international students.
